Mannatech Associates Lose 257 Total Inches in Fat-Loss Challenge

Top winner loses 22.2 percent total inches while using OsoLean™ powder

Coppell, Texas, March 9, 2009 – Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ - MTEX), a leading developer and provider of proprietary dietary supplements, weight management products and skin care solutions, today announced winners of its OsoLean™ Challenge, a national contest challenging Mannatech independent Associates to try OsoLean powder for eight weeks and track the inches lost in their waists. The top six winners lost a total of 54.5 inches off their waists.

Steve Heironimus won the challenge and had the greatest percentage of total inches lost at 22.2 percent. In second and third place were Peta-Anne Ackerman, who lost 21.4 percent, and John Alexander, who lost 20.6 percent. In fourth, fifth and sixth place were Linda Alexander, with 20 percent, Art Ackerman, with 18 percent, and Chalise Wallace, with 17.9 percent.

“The program works. It’s easy and really helped change my eating habits and increase physical activity,” said Heironimus, who lost 12 inches off his waist, ending the challenge with a 42-inch waist. “I was amazed when I found out I won; I didn’t think I had a chance of winning. The challenge taught me that until you decide to do something consistently, you won’t see results. That’s why the challenge worked so well.”

Participants used the company’s new fat-loss product, OsoLean powder, an all-natural, protein blend that in a clinical test helped target fat loss while sparing lean muscle when combined with a reduced-calorie diet, such as the OsoLean Plan and proper exercise.* Results may vary. The challenge encouraged participants to use OsoLean powder in conjunction with regular support calls, BMI and serving size measurement tools and a food and activity diary for meal and exercise planning. The average percentage of total inches lost during the challenge was 9.3 percent.

“We are proud of all of the participants in this challenge and hope they will continue their healthy lifestyle and share their successes with others,” said Wayne Badovinus, president and CEO of Mannatech. “This challenge shows how the right diet, exercise regimen and dietary supplements can improve people’s health and change their lives for the better.”

Heironimus won a trip to MannaFest 2009, including event registration, hotel accommodations and one economy class airline ticket to the company’s annual international conference for its independent sales Associates. The second and third place winners received a stay at MannaFest 2009, including event registration and hotel accommodations. The fourth, fifth and sixth winners won gift cards worth $200 to the MannaBrand store, where they can buy Mannatech-branded items.
