Inaugural event in South Korea breaks attendance records
COPPELL, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 24, 2013--
Mannatech,
Incorporated (NASDAQ: MTEX),
the leading innovator and provider of naturally-sourced supplements
based on Real
Food Technology® solutions, hosted more than
4,500 Independent Associates and guests at its Asia MannaFest event on
June 15, 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. This year’s event marked the first
time the company hosted an Asia-specific convention. The celebration far
exceeded previous attendance at similar events in the past. Attendees
from Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Australia were represented at the
convention.
Asia MannaFest was a celebration of the story of Mannatech and the
Independent Associates who have experienced significant improvements in
their lives due to the benefits of the Mannatech products and its
leverage-based income model. Featured presentations focused on
Mannatech’s core nutritional innovations in the areas of glyconutrients
and Real Food Technology solutions, as well as the revolutionary social
entrepreneurial vision the company was built on, and its Mission 5
Million message. Many Associates who achieved leadership ranks from all
over the region were also recognized from stage for their achievements
over the past year.
Guests also experienced a highly entertaining event, highlighted by an
appearance and performance by Korean pop star In-Soni, along with a
performance of traditional Korean drums. Several lucky Mannatech
Associates also won a drawing for a luxury bag of Louis Vuitton
products. Korean pop star Bobby Kim surprised more than 130 top
Presidential Directors at the Presidential Dinner held at the
prestigious Aston House – Sheraton Walker Hill.
“The growth and excitement we’re seeing in our Asian markets are truly
breathtaking,” said Mannatech CEO and Chief Science Officer, Dr. Robert
Sinnott. “I was able to experience this firsthand at Asia MannaFest. You
can see it in everyone’s eyes in the audience – the hope and passion
that are driving all of this success. Momentum is a critical component
in our industry. Our Asian markets are at the forefront of a global
momentum shift that Mannatech has been experiencing over the past 18
months. My deepest appreciation and respect go out to our General
Manager of South Korea and Taiwan, Patrick Park, for his crucial role in
making it all come together.”
“A year ago, when the Board of Directors granted approval to host the
Asia MannaFest in Korea, I personally took on this challenge as an
opportunity to build up confidence and momentum within the Asian
market,” shared General Manager of South Korea and Taiwan, Patrick
Park. “As a result, we have far exceeded our initial target and achieved
a new record. Mannatech Korea will be celebrating its 10th
year anniversary in 2014 and we fully expect to continue our growth over
the next year as we lead up to that big moment.”
The event hosted many Mannatech corporate executives, including CEO and
Chief Science Officer, Dr. Rob Sinnott; President of International and
Chief Operating Officer, Roy Truett; Executive Vice President and Chief
Sales and Marketing Officer, Al Bala; Sr. Vice President of
International, Ron Norman; and Founder, Sam Caster. They each covered
topics in the area of product innovation, global expansion and the
company’s Mission 5 Million movement to link five million consumers of
the company’s products with five million children in need of nutritional
supplementation through its social entrepreneurial
donation-through-consumption model.
