Mannatech Launches Pre-Registration Process in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus

Process serves as due diligence prior to opening in potential new markets

COPPELL, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 6, 2012-- Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ: MTEX), the leading innovator and provider of nutritional supplements based on Real Food Technology® solutions, launched its Pre-Registration process on February 18, 2012 in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. This process signifies Mannatech’s ongoing strategic commitment in conducting due diligence necessary to maximize the company’s impact in these countries. This process allows those who pre-register to be among the first to take advantage of the market potential should Mannatech open for business in these markets.

Mannatech has designed this pre-registration process as a way of researching and evaluating possible markets and consumer interest prior to officially commencing business in the selected countries. At present, there are no concrete opening plans or dates. While the pre-registration agreement is non-binding, this process signals Mannatech’s focus on creating significant and sustainable growth. It is also a step toward enhancing Mannatech’s global footprint and potential business development within Ukraine, Russia and Belarus.

“This Pre-Registration process is firmly part of Mannatech’s strategic acceleration plan that will assist us to predictably measure the interest and demand in these markets prior to officially opening our doors,” said Mannatech’s CEO and Chief Science Officer, Robert A. Sinnott, Ph.D. “We desire to expand the impact of Mannatech’s Real Food Technology® solutions globally. Our global seamless compensation plan and our network of Associates functioning as Social Entrepreneurs will help get this work done. We have some world class corporate assets already existing in strategic locations such as Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, and South Africa. Expanding East from our current European footprint and into these vibrant, emerging markets holds exciting potential.”

Ukraine, Russia and Belarus represent a combined population in excess of 197 million people. According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations, total sales within this region exceeded more than $4.4 billion from direct sales companies in 2010.

Pre-registrants essentially reserve a position within a Mannatech line of sponsorship, and are able to pre-register other potential sales Associates within their networks. Pre-Registrants understand that Mannatech is not currently open for business in Ukraine, Russia or Belarus, and they are therefore unable to purchase or sell Mannatech products at this time.
